This website is to just give you a quick view of my professional and educational career. I'm passionate about the craft and passing on what I've learned to the next generation. My industry is always changing so this lets me refresh and add to my skills to become a better creator and teacher. Being a media craftsmen and educator allows me to be creative in a variety of ways. It also gives me the opportunity to do my part in having as much of a positive impact as I can on as many people or things as possible.
I spent 16 years in the media. Besides all the technical aspects one learns from that time, you learn how to tell a story. You also learn a lot about people, sacrifice, teamwork and so much more. These life experiences, especially in a realm like TV news gave me a great deal of perspective in what it means to be not only a professional, but what's important. What is your role in anything you do and is what you're doing having a positive impact on the production and the people around you?
After all that time in the field, I've ventured into teaching and get the same thrill from getting students excited about the craft that I do being able to take just an idea and produce a tangible creation. Even during my time in television I was the guy who trained and mentored new hires and interns.
So teaching was always a natural arena for me to enter. With all I've learned as a media professional, educator and as a student in a different but very related discipline, I'm continuing my life's path of trying to make wherever I go a better place and have as much of a positive impact on as many people as possible. To do as much much good as I can do with this gift we call life.
